Rude, patronising, and failed to fix any of our problems. We had excessive mould in our bathroom. An 'expert' came to assess the issue and told the landlord that it was caused by a structural issue in the extension. Naturally, our landlord's response was to paint over the mould, meaning that it came back... again and again. This was potentially unsafe as there is only one functioning bathroom. We asked for several tasks to be undertaken at the start of the tenancy, but these were not completed. For example, we asked for the second toilet to be fixed - which was actually written into our contract - but this didn't happen in the whole year that we spent in this property. In summary, AVOID.

The landlord was extremely reluctant to conduct repairs, there was water coming up beneath the kitchen floor and he did not get it fixed because he didn't believe us when we told him (eventually was sorted by someone repairing the washing machine). So many problems with damp and mould, flatmate had a vent put in her room to 'solve' the damp there, water came through every time it rained making the room unliveable. He wouldn't fix small problems, there was a leak in the top bedroom that didn't get fixed.
Landlord used one repair man who was not always the best.
Rubbish in garden not moved as promised.
Small toilet downstairs didn't work, he insisted it did if you flushed the toilet when the sink was running, even if you demonstrated that this wasn't true he wouldn't hear it (Also this toilet is carpeted which is kinda gross)
Landlord did not give everyone their full deposit back, citing one missing set of keys and stopped replying to messages (AVOID IF POSSIBLE)
